David Arputha Raj , after completing his M.Phil . and Ph.D. researches in the Department of English and Foreign Languages , Bharathiar University , joined as Assistant Professor in the same department His areas of specialisation are English Language Teaching , Research Methodology and Cultural Studies , a , as well as Soft Skills . His passion for research has reflected in his researches in English Language Teaching , with special reference to the creative aspects of the reference to language . Having qualified UGC – National Eligibility Test ( NET ) twice , he has evinced his passion for literature too . He has a repertoire of publications in National and International journals , conferences and articles . He has authored a book on Soft skills which has received great acclaim amongst the English learners circle . He is known as a trainer in English language communication skills as well as soft skills and personality development . He has also spearheaded many training sessions organised for students to enhance their communicative skills . He serves as an external examiner as external examiner English VENTI as an as well as question setter for various institutions . His esteemed research contribution has been acknowledged by ICSSR by granting him esteemed and significant fund to provi organise a Two Day National Colloquium on Culture in Contemporary Literature and Language .
